Vietnam’s three different faces, north, central and south, are being explored in an exhibition of rare photographs taken mostly by French photographers more than a century ago.

The exhibition “Hanoi, Hue, Sai Gon Xua” (Hanoi, Hue, Sai Gon in the Past) is taking place in Hanoi under the sponsorship of “Xua va Nay” magazine and Hewlett-Packard Vietnam. It displayed 160 photographs giving audiences a unique window into what life was like for these city dwellers 100 years ago.
