1,000 people from districts, schools and consulates general along with athletes from the Vietnam sports delegation joined a walk in Hanoi on June 13 as part of activities to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long- Hanoi.

Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee, Ngo Thi Thanh Hang said that the event aims to encourage people from all walks of life to take part in cultural activities and environmental protection in the lead up to the national anniversary.

The program is being held by Hanoi’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Vietnam Sports Newspaper.
