Tourists in Vietnam travel to Ninh Thuan this time can take part in the annual event of the Cham community – Kate festival on September 27.

Kate Festival 2011 of the Brahmanism of Cham people in Ninh Thuan, will take place at all local temples on September 27th. This is annual and important event for Cham community, also attracts many tourists in Vietnam travel to here.

During the festival, there will be various activities such as Trade Village Tourism, fork games, seminars, competitions and so on. The festival introduces businesses, investors and visitors to the province and to the Kate festival in particular and other special cultural features of Cham people.

Ninh Thuan is home to around 68,000 Cham people, including more than 41,000 Brahmanists, accounting for 11.3% of the Province’s population.

During the development of the Province, both the central region and the Province invested their budget to build water and road systems, schools and infirmaries to improve the living standard of Cham people in the Province. Now, the rate of poverty is under 8.5%.
